10 minutes: Good Morning exercise-
Emphasizes distinct speech, eye contact, strong handshakes, the importance of each individual and good manners. 20 minutes: Social Values - Introduces the need for Courage to avoid cover-ups, to increase
perseverance and to practice honesty. 55 minutes: Language Skills - Employs rote teaching of oral alphabet with sounds of letters,
recognition and ordering of alphabet cards; descriptions, identification and sorting in language units. 55 minutes: Math development - Includes oral counting by 1’s, 10’s, 5’s,and 2’s, object
counting, recognition and ordering numerals 1 – 100, and the concept of odd and even. 20 minutes: Snack Time - Teaches good table manners, responsibility in helping others plus
clean-up and beneficial foods. 20 minutes: Perceptual Motor Activities - Works on cutting for eye-hand coordination, pasting for
creativity, controlled coloring, writing cursive letters and small words. 60 minutes: Pre-Math Sensorial and Practical Life Montessori Activities - Varies from 3
dimensional Pink Cubes to 1 dimensional rods and shapes, from Metal Insets to World and U.S.A. maps adding appropriate language and many daily living activities. The "quiet chair" is used for discipline. Potty breaks are scheduled throughout the morning.
