Greetings from the Charles L. Shedd Kentucky Association. We were founded as a non-profit organization in 1968 by concerned parents and teachers for people with dyslexia, ADD and ADHD.

Our Mission

The Shedd Program provides educational remediation through highly structured teaching methods and materials utilizing a multisensory approach and one-to-one instruction. We have been providing this service for over 30 years and have helped many children and adults reach their potential. Dr. Shedd's philosophy was to "provide maximal learning for minimal cost." The Shedd programs provide "affordable alternatives" to costly private schools. With proper help, these children can have unlimited choices in their adult lives. The Shedd Association gives them this help.
